BASUG Post-UTME/DE 2025: Cut-off mark, Eligibility and Registration Details

BASUG Post-UTME/DE 2025: Sequel to the approval of 150 points as the minimum admissible marks, the University wishes to inform all prospective candidates who chose Sa’adu Zungur University (formerly, Bauchi State University) as first choice, that online screening for 2025/2026 admission commences Friday 11th July, 2025. To this end, all prospective candidates into various programmes of the University who scored 150 points and above in the 2025 JAMB/UTME should apply for post-UTME.

Candidates awaiting their O’ level results are required to indicate clearly AWAITING RESULT (AR) in the grades column on the form. Once such results are released by the examination bodies, they are required to make them available for sighting during the physical screening.

What is BASUG Post-UTME?

BASUG Post-UTME refers to the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination screening exercise conducted by the BASUG for candidates who selected the institution as their first choice during JAMB registration.

It is a compulsory step for admission consideration into undergraduate programmes. The exam is used to assess applicants beyond JAMB scores and includes questions based on UTME subjects.

The process may involve computer-based testing or online screening depending on the academic year. Candidates must meet the minimum JAMB cut-off mark and other eligibility requirements to be invited for the screening or to upload necessary documents.

What is BASUG Post-UTME Form?

The BASUG Post-UTME form is an online application form that qualified candidates must complete to participate in the university’s admission screening exercise. It becomes available on the official BASUG portal after the   announces the commencement of its screening process.

The form requires applicants to provide personal details, academic records, and JAMB information, and to pay a non-refundable screening fee. Completing the form correctly is crucial for successful participation.

It also enables candidates to print acknowledgment slips, exam dates, and venues. Without filling this form, eligible applicants cannot be considered for admission into any undergraduate course at BASUG. See the list of the on-going post-UTME Registration.

ELIGIBILITY

  • To be eligible for the screening/admission, a candidate must have:
  • a) obtained a minimum admissible score of 150 points in the 2025 UTME
  • b) obtained a minimum of five (5) relevant O’ level credits (including English and Mathematics) at not more than two (2) sittings
  • c) sat for the relevant UTME subject combination in the 2025 UTME.
  • d) Direct Entry (DE) candidates shall in addition to the minimum of five (5) O’ Level relevant credits (including English and Mathematics) must have scored a minimum of 7 points in UMB or NCE and at least lower credit in ND.

MODE OF PAYMENT

Eligible candidates are to:

  • Visit the University’s website at https://sazu.edu.ng/ for the screening procedure
  • Create accounts
  • Pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira (₦2, 000;00) only for the screening exercise through the online screening portal
