The application fee is Seven Thousand Naira (N7,000) only, payable through REMITA. It is important to note that only payments generated through the NDA portal will be accepted.

After successful payment, candidates should complete the online application form and upload scanned copies of their SSCE, NECO, or equivalent results. Upon submission, applicants are expected to download their acknowledgement form for future reference.

JAMB Requirement for NDA Admission

All candidates applying for The Nigerian Defence Academy Post-UTME must also register for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board UTME examination and select NDA as their first-choice institution.

Candidates interested in Engineering programmes must score a minimum of 210 in UTME, while applicants for other faculties are expected to score at least 180.

Only candidates who meet these UTME score requirements and other admission conditions will be eligible to print their screening test admission cards.

NDA Screening Test Date and Requirements

The Nigerian Defence Academy Post-UTME screening test will hold on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The examination serves as the first phase of the admission screening exercise.

Eligible candidates are expected to come to their selected screening centres with the following:

  • Acknowledgement Form
  • Screening Test Admission Card
  • JAMB Result Slip
  • Two postcard-sized photographs (3.5 x 5 inches)

The photographs must show the candidate from the chest upward and should contain the candidate’s name, exam number, state, exam centre, course of study, and signature at the back.

Only successful candidates from Phase One will proceed to the Armed Forces Selection Board, which serves as Phase Two of the screening exercise.

Nature and Duration of Training at NDA

Successful applicants admitted into the NDA Regular Course will undergo both military and academic training for a period of five years.

At the completion of the programme, cadets will earn honours degrees such as BSc, BEng, or BA in their respective disciplines. Graduates will also receive a Presidential Commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Interestingly, all administrative and training costs of cadets are fully sponsored by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The Academy also announced that interested candidates can purchase the NDA Compendium of Past Questions and Answers at a token fee from the NDA Registry. This material is designed to help applicants prepare effectively for the screening test.
