Requirements for Czech Government Scholarship
- The condition for granting a scholarship for studying in a bachelor’s study program is the completion of secondary education corresponding to secondary education with a school-leaving examination in the Czech Republic
- The condition for granting a scholarship for studies in a follow-up master’s study program is the completion of the bachelor’s study program.
- The condition for granting a scholarship for study in a doctoral study program is the completion of a master’s study program.
- An applicant for a Government scholarship to study in English is obliged to sit an online entrance English language test in the course of his/her application submission, which proves sufficient knowledge of English
Benefits of Czech Government Scholarship Programme for developing countries
The scholarship is intended to cover the necessary costs related to staying and studying in the Czech Republic.
- Currently, it amounts to CZK 16,000 per month for students of Bachelor’s and follow-up Master’s study programme and CZK 17,000 for students of a Doctoral study programme.
- Costs of accommodation, food and public transport are covered by scholarship holders from the scholarship
- Travel expenses for travelling to the Czech Republic and back to the student’s home country after graduation are paid by the foreign national at his/her own cost or by the party that nominated the student to study in the Czech Republic.

The need to avoid the late hour rush in your application cannot be overemphasized. You need to make your application at least, two weeks or a week before the deadline. In this regard you will not be caught up in the web of those submitting late. so ensure to submit your application before the deadline.
How to Apply
- Each applicant is obliged to fill in an electronic application form by 30 September 2025 at the latest. The successful applicant starts studying in the academic year 2026/2027.
- By completing the application form, the applicant is successfully registered. The application is considered complete only after completing the general knowledge test and, if applicable, the English language test.
