What is UNIMED Post-UTME?
UNIMED Post-UTME is the screening examination organized by UNIMED for candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate courses. It tests students’ knowledge in their UTME subject combinations to determine their readiness for their chosen courses. The Post-UTME is part of the admission process and is mandatory for eligible candidates.
What is UNIMED Post-UTME Form?
UNIMED Post-UTME form is an online application form released by the university to invite candidates to register for their screening examination. The form allows candidates to input their JAMB and personal details, upload required documents, and pay the screening fee to participate in the admission screening exercise for the academic year. Eligibility criteria for UNIMED post-UTME
- 1. Candidates who chose “Ondo State University of Medical Sciences” as their most preferred (1st) Choice Institution in the 2025 UTME and scored 150 and above are eligible to apply for the Post UTME Screening
- 2. Also, candidates who did not choose the “Ondo State University of Medical Sciences” and are willing to change to the Institution as their most preferred (1st) choice are also advised to apply for the Post UTME Screening.
- 3. JAMB UTME Subject Combination: All courses in the various Faculties require English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Candidates applying for admission in Chemistry, Computer Science and Physics are required to present a UTME subject combination of English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- 4. Candidates seeking admission into 100 & 200 level must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in WAEC, NECO, or GCE in the following subjects: Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, obtained in one or two sittings, as specified by the relevant departments
- For programmes such as Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Doctor of Physiotherapy the above stated five (5) O’ Level credits must be obtained at only one (1) sitting.
- 5. Direct Entry candidates who have already applied through JAMB, picked the University as their most preferred (1st) Choice Institution in the 2025 Direct Entry Registration and those willing to change to OSUMS as their most preferred (1st) Choice Institution are also eligible to apply and participate in the 2025 Post UTME Screening Exercise.
- 6. Candidates with an “A” level qualification or certificates such as Cambridge, JUPEB, IJMB, with a minimum of 10 points as well as ND (National Diploma), HND (Higher National Diploma) or Degree Holders, are eligible for Direct Entry admission into 200 level. Such candidate must meet the general “O” level requirements of the Faculty/Department to which they are applying.
- 7. Direct Entry Candidates are to request for their Official Academic Transcripts, which must be forwarded directly from their previous Institution to the Office of the Registrar, University of Medical Sciences, Laje Road Campus, within Medical Village, Ondo City, Ondo State; an advance copy must be forwarded via email to transcripts@unimed.edu.ng on or before the Post UTME screening date.
- (Direct Entry applicants will not be considered for admission without evidence of submission of official academic transcripts to either the Office of the Registrar or via email transcripts@unimed.edu.ng)
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE 2025 POST-UTME SCREENING:
- Eligible candidates should log on to the University website: www.unimed.edu.ng and take the following steps:
- 1. Click on Admission;
- 2. Click on Post-UTME to access the Post-UTME Portal;
- 3. Click on PAYMENT to make payment via the online payment system using Naira DEBIT Cards;
- 4. After payment, Click Here to Print Payment Receipt
- 5. On the Post-UTME Portal, Click on Application Login to Login with your UTME/DE Registration Number and Payment Transaction ID as Password to complete the Post-UTME registration.
For more details on payment and application, check the University website (www.unimed.edu.ng) PAYMENT IS ONLY VIA THE UNIMED PAYMENT PLATFORM ON THE UNIVERSITY WEBSITE. ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD CANDIDATES MAKE PAYMENT TO ANY UNAUTHORISED ACCOUNT. PLEASE SEEK CLARIFICATION IN CASE OF DOUBT.
2025 UNIMED POST-UTME screening date and venues:
The 2025 Post UTME Screening Exercise will be held on:
- Tuesday 26th, Wednesday 27th
- Thursday 28th of August, 2025.
Candidates are advised to get the official UNIMED University Post-UTME Past Questions and Answers. This will enable them prepare adequately for the screening. Venue of Examination and other modalities for the 2025 Post UTME Screening Exercise will be communicated to validly registered candidates via their individual portal on the University Website before the above stated dates.
ALSO NOTE THAT:
- 1. All candidates will be required to bring along the following items to the screening venue:
- a. JAMB 2025 UTME Notification of Results Slip/Registration Slip for Direct-Entry Candidates;
- b. Printed copy of the completed 2025 Post UTME Screening slip
